It's true, Easter has been over for a while now but here is one last thing to share. My daughter and I wanted to make a small Easter Village for the dining room table. I thought we could get one of those fake green grass welcome mats to make our display on. Well those things were nowhere to be found. We tried just putting down some Easter grass, didn't like it. And then I thought hey why not make scenes on a smallish wooden shelf I had. It is kinda like a giant shadow box. It is really cute in person- my camera stinks at indoor shots. This is definitely something we will be doing again. Next stop Halloween maybe?

Well this is the last set of ornaments from my Easter swap. Cassandra is the creator of these beauties. First up is a sweet wall hanging with some chicks getting ready for Easter. This next one is an adorable crepe paper basket with vintage flowers, bits & bobs and a yellow bird with a real feather tail. Yes he's singing about spring.

Here's a cute baby shower in some very unusual colors that look great together: yellows, orange, aqua.
To see the whole shower check it out here http://thompsonfamily.typepad.com/thompson_familylife/2008/09/baby-shower.html
footnote: this was the first time a customer sent me pictures of a party using my toppers--way back in 2008

I finally had some time to photograph my second set of ornaments from an Easter ornament swap. This first ornament was made from a vintage chocolate mold or tart tin. It has a sweet little girl and a paper rose.
The next ornament is a super sweet bluebird made from paper clay. She has a crown of forget me nots and is attached to a vintage spool.

I was just in a swap where you decorate an egg carton for your partner and fill it with small treasures. This is what I received from my partner Tammie. Her carton is dripping with lace and two gorgeous vintage flowers, perfect for spring.

I have had a Wilton mini egg pan for a couple of years now but have never used it. I've thought about it, wanted to try it, but just didn't.
