Guess What time it is?

It's Cadbury mini egg time.  Yes the one time all year those tiny morsels of deliciousness are yours.
My favorite thing is to put them in a cup of hot chocolate.mmmmmm

Here's what we did last year with those cute little things.  Imagine the cabury eggs on a nest of chocolate on a spoon--sorry couldn't find the photo.  Okay now I found the photo.

And this is what I want to make this year, if they last long enough for me to get them in a recipe.

Funnest Drink Ever

I  know you probably saw those cute mini gingerbread houses perched as a garnish on the edge of drinks --they were popular over the holidays.  I wanted to try them but dang making a gingerbread house, even a small one, is a lot of work.

Then I saw this adorable idea to put a mini cupcake on the edge of a glass of milk.  I saw some cute valentine ones at the grocery store yesterday.  I am going to link to the blogpost.  This is a new blog to me and I think it is fabulous.   She says that the cupcakes come off very easily so I was also thinking maybe one of those Little Debbie valentine cakes would work better, it might be too big but it seems a little bit stronger.  I was also thinking you could slide the mini cupcake onto the straw.

Valentine Treats From Pinterest

Yes once again I had to try out something I found on Pinterest.  See that cute little basketful there? Yep we made those. I tried to find the directions from a pin but it didn't lead me to any diections so we had to wing it.
First I melted some chocolate chips in the microwave.  Then I sprinkled some sprinkle hearts on a paper plate.  And last we dipped ptretzel sticks into the chocolate then onto a sprikle, and laid them on some parchment paper to dry.  Then we did the same thing with peanut butter chips.  We let them harden over night.  The next day the chocolate ones had spots on them- not sure if the salt from the pretzels caused this or if the chocolate was too hot.  They tasted pretty good though.  The peanut butter chip ones turned out looking and tasting great.
Tip:  Ours were not perfect as a picture because we laid them on the parchment paper.  If you want yours perfectly rounded you'll have to prop them up somehow.

I like them looking cute and imperfect,  here is a picture of the original ones:
