Vintage Finds

Yesterday I went to a city wide garage sale in a nearby town.  I found this sweet Nancy Ann doll and a pretty straw hat covered with forget me nots.
I also found these tiny bisque kewpie dolls. They are just under 2 inches long. Their faces are so sweet.

Knock Off Skeleton Hat

I love this skeleton hat but at $60.00 it was just too much.
I found a velvet bowler hat at the dollar store.  I added eyelash trim and some dollar store skeletons. For a total of $3.50. wowsa!  I think I'm going to add some tulle like the $60.00 one , boo ya

Cute Jars

I found these cute jars in the dollar bin at Target.
I added a spooky tag by gluing it right over the tag that was already on there, check out that cute twine.

Now it's all ready to fill with your favorite candy.  I love Target.

Cat Party

We had a cat birthday party today. These are the cupcakes decorated by my daughter.  They turned out so cute, and delicious.  (I had to try one to make sure it was okay, didn't I?)

Here is Camus, the birthday boy.  He was not amused by his party hat.
Aren't these cupcake wrappers darling?  here is a link:

More "Peeps in the Park"

This Easter we decided to do a Peeps diorama.  We called it "Peeps in the Park"  ta da! This first photo shows a motorcycle rider wearing a cool leather head band. vrrrroom

Next up we have two peeps selling freshly picked flowers.  They are two for $5.00 today only.
The next peep is riding in a boat made by my husband.  Like those basket filler waves?

And here we have a peep bar- be- queing some delicious meats.  He's holding tongs made out of a twist tie.

Here's a quick areal  shot. Check out more peeps projects on pinterest.

Bunny Cars

I started seeing these bunny cars all around last year.  Of course I was dying to try them but somehow ran out of time. You know how it is.  Anyway I finally made them this year, yay!  They are so easy and there are tutorials all over pinterest, but there is one step you need to know about or your cars will stick to their serving dish. I learned the hard way.

The twinkie bottoms are very sticky.  To make this less of a problem I dabbed the bottoms in powdered sugar.  No more sticky!

Now it is your Holiday duty to get out there and make your very own bunny cars. They are even cuter in person.
VROOM!
