It's a Party
Oh yeah, there's a "future" party going on right here http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/for-the-home/shop-brands/martha-stewart/shop-categories/martha-celebrations/cat.jump?id=cat1002480037
Doily Banner
Remember I have 1000 doilies and I said I'd be doing a bunch of stuff with them? Well here is the first installment; a doily banner. You can probably tell how to make one yourself but just in case I'm posting this tutorial.http://www.babble.com/crafts-activities/how-to-make-a-doily-banner/
Here's one I made and added mulberry roses to.
You can kind of see it hanging in the background. I used a thin white string for mine.

Nest Swap
I was just in a swap and this beauty arrived in the mail for me. My partner was Nancy. She had the nest sitting in a vintage punch cup. A glittery green bird is wearing a gorgeous vintage finding crown! She is surrounded by all sorts of pretty flowers. This piece is so pretty and it fits in perfectly with all my spring decorations. (okay I'll confess: I still have my Easter things out but hey, they look springy)
She also included a tag with a sweet note. Thank you so much Nancy, I adore my nest.
And here is the nest in a peat pot I sent her.

1000 Doilies: are you kidding me?
I usually buy Wilton doilies but they changed the pattern they carry in stores. I've been hoarding my last batch of doilies, growling deep within my throat if anyone gets near. But now that is all over. I bought 1000 doilies. Yes you heard right 1000.
Look how lovely.
Expect to see MANY more pretties made with doilies. Like, a lot more.

Gum Machine Upcycle
I bought a couple of these gum machines around Easter. I wish I had bought more-maybe next year. Any way I emptied it and clipped off the tag.
Then I filled it with sprinkles. Made a sprinkle tag. And tied a ribbon around it.
And now I have a cute way to store sprinkles. I wish I had a whole set of them on a white spice rack. If you see these buy a bunch, you won't regret it.
