Luscious Lipgloss

I'm sure you are all as addicted to pinterest as I am.  I love browsing that site seeing all the kewl STUFF.  When I came upon this recipe for delicious lip gloss I couldn't wait to try it.  Just two ingredients and a little container.  I opted to make ours in those bubble containers you get out of gumball machines.  My daughter and I were excited

.We followed the directions.  It looked and smelled heavenly.  We tried it on our lips.  I thought it was a little bumpy but looked really good.  I blotted some off with a kleenex and we were in business.  Smack smack smack.  Right about then my daughter starts whining that it is burning her lips.  Ow, oh, the pain.  I only felt a very slight tingle but who knows, her lips could have been chapped.  So she swiped it off and that was that.

It was fun to make and looked great (I used the cherry flavor because it was darker) .
However, if you have kids involved forget about it.  It also does better applied VERY lightly.

Cupcakes: The Birth of the Tutu topper

I love cupcakes frosted like these.  So gorgeous winding around a cupcake.  Ready for anything.  I have watched tutorials on how to do this and have tried to get this look.  But it just aint happening for me.  Mine is crooked and bloppy.  So today I was messing around with lollipops and cupcake toppers and then I happened to put them together and ta da.  A lollipop wearing a tutu which looks like that frosting I love but now don't have to master.  YES!  Lame frosting skills led me to a topper I love even more.

Hot Chocolate Tray

I keep seeing the cutest hot chocolate parties all over the place.  Love hot chocolate, love the set ups.  Sadly we only have three in our family (four for the Holidays).  Instead of a hot chocolate table I decided to make a hot chocolate tray- for four.

I started with a spray painted mini muffin tin and added white mini cupcake liners.  I filled the tray with chocolate chips, hot chocolate stirrers, mints etc.  Added a red bow and it's ready to go festive. You could add mini marshmallows, red hots or anything else you like in your hot chocolate.  Oh drat, I forgot to buy a tube of whipped cream.  There's always next year.  Oh who am I kidding, there's always tomorrow night. ;)

stirrers were made by pushing a soft candy stick into a marshmallow and dipping in melted chocolate chips.  Let them cool over night or in the fridge and they are all set.
