Easter Swap Goodies From Robin
Yes this looks like a darling Easter decoration, but.... that's just the wrapping. So adorable. An envelope made out of a road map.
Here's what was in the envelope, a pretty posy wall hanging with a vintage Easter image.
This next ornament shows a sweet nest basket. Inside is a bird made from calico fabric. Such a good idea, and so different.
And here we have a cute as can be bunny sitting on nest adhered to a pepper shaker full of grass and eggs.
Once again I will have the cutest tree on the block. Thank you Robin, I love everything!

Chocolate Bird Nests On Spoons
I came across this cute treat on Pinterest. I knew we had to try it, all that chocolate plus mini eggs. PLUS MINI EGGS! You need just a few items and MINI EGGS. We followed the recipe but I wanted a fuller nest. I decided to use vanilla wafers to fill the nest out. I just put a dab of melted chocolate on the spoon, added the vanilla wafer and followed the directions. They turned out great and pretty tasty too. I think the vanilla wafer added a certain little oomph. Beware, the brown sprinkles end up everywhere.
Below is a shot of ours nests packaged and ready for giving.. be sure to check out the original post http://www.cutefoodforkids.com/2012/03/chocolate-bird-nest-on-spoon-for-easter.html

City Wide Garage Sale
This weekend we went to a city wide garage sale. We have absolutely nothing vintage in my town so we went to a town an hour away. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday and it ended up costing around the same as seeing a movie.
These are all vintage jewelry I picked up. None of them were a real bargain but none were a rip off either. So it's all good. The next group consists of little doodads, And the last photo shows a pretty vintage Bride doll- it was a good price.

Spring Tinsel the Cheap Way
I picked up some decorations at the dollar store the other day. Even though they are kind of cute, I wanted them for their tinsel. I just unwrapped the tinsel from the plastic frame and then rolled it into a ball. It yielded about three yards. Can be used on banners, trim for Easter projects or to tie Easter treat bags closed. You get a lot for just a buck. Did you just call me cheap? ;)
